31. True – Something that is not a lie. If I say Waleed is a good student that is true. If say that Khaled is not a good student, that is not true

32. Large – Very big

33. Able – When you are able to do something, you can do it. I am able to stand on my hands. Dianna is not able to fly.

34. Difficult – Hard. Mr. Sean’s English class is difficult.

35. Legal – Something that is not against the law. Singing on the street is legal.

36. Illegal – Against the law. Murder, theft, and traffic crimes are illegal.

37. Royal – Royal things are things that are part of being a King or in the King’s family. The royal family is the King, Queen, Prince and Princesses.

38. Certain – If something is certain it will happen. Mohammed Sindi might understand Mr. Sean but it is certain that Mr. Jon will.

39. Sure – Sure means the same as ok. Can you get my bag? Sure, Mr. Sean. (there is another meaning but we aren’t learning that now)

40. Annual – Every year. Your birthday is something that happens annually. There is an annual party for your birthday.

41. Relevant – Important. If something is not relevant, it isn’t important.

42. Practical – Something that is practical is something you can use. A pencil is practical. A car is practical. A pet dinosaur is not practical.

43. Key – important. The goalie is a key player on the football team.

44. Regular – ordinary. Something that happens all the time. First break is a regular part of a school day.

45. Powerful – Very strong

46. Ordinary – Normal. Something that is ordinary happens every day. Eating lunch is ordinary. Eating a bike is not ordinary.

47. Extra – more than you need. You have twelve English classes and the learning centers are extra.

48. Civil – Polite but not nice. Mr. Sean hates Mr. Jon but they are civil to each other. They say hello and don’t fight, but they don’t talk to each other outside the school.

49. Expensive – costs a lot of money. A Mercedes car is expensive.

50. Immediate – Right now

51. Typical – normal. The typical student wears their uniform and loves Mr. Sean.

52. Silent – Perfectly quiet. Not making any noise

53. Voluntary - Something you do because you want to. When you watch tv it is voluntary.

54. Involuntary - Something you do because you are forced. Doing your homework when your mom makes you is involuntary.

55. Sudden - quick and surprising. I was watching tv then Ms. Isabel jumped out and hit me. It was very sudden.

56. Comfortable – Somewhere that feels good. A soft couch is comfortable. A giant bed is comfortable. A bed made of broken glass is not comfortable.

57. Valuable – Worth a lot. An IPOD is valuable. It costs 600 shekels. A new house is valuable. My mother is valuable. I would not trade her for anything.

58. Flat - This machine makes things flat. Books are flat. Mountains are not flat.




59. Bumpy – Not flat.

60. Ideal – The best thing. Pizza for dinner is good but pizza and ice cream is ideal. Mr. Jon is a good teacher but Mr. Sean is the ideal teacher.
