This Week (PARENTS)

Last week we did a lot of work with adverbs, how to use them, and other parts of speech.

Thursday's tests, which I did not give the students notice of, looked great.

This week we are going to be doing a lot about facts, opinions, and the difference between them. To do that we are going to be using the framework of a crime and a trial.

Its a subject the kids like a lot and builds on one of the games we have been playing all year (Detective).

It also relates to the movie the kids wrote. Speaking of that, we have now brought Montasser, Amal, Na-El, Selim, and Malak into the writing process. The remainder of the students who haven't written anything will get a chance this week.

We will also be continuing our grammar review month. Most of the students can use the correct verbs and tenses if asked but need a lot of daily practice to get them right in conversation.

Also this week keep your eyes open for a note home that may relate to our long delayed home building project.
