This Week

We will be continuing with our grammar review, the future tense using going to, and the new issue of the newspaper.

We will also be continuing the crime project. Here is the story:

Last night when Mr. Jon got home he found a Mr. Sean was knocked out. He called the police. The police said that someone had hit Mr. Sean. There were two witnesses.

A witness is someone who saw something about a crime. Maybe a witness saw someone buying a gun. Maybe the witness saw the crime.

The witness saw something so they have information that the police need. We are going to play a game with this crime. We are also going to learn all about the court system.

The first thing we are going to do is pretend we are the police. One job the police have is to
question the witnesses.

These are the questions the students wrote (I chose the best)

What happened?
How did you know the victim?
What information do the police need?
Do you know what the motive was?
Do you think the criminal was someone you knew?
Were there footprints on the ground?
Was Mr. Sean alone in the house?
When you came back did you see anyone next to your house?
Did you see someone running when you came?
What did you see?
How many were they?
What weapons did they use?
How did they use the weapons?
What did the suspect do?
Can you describe the suspect for me?
Is he short or tall?
Is the criminal old?
Did you see him before?
Is the criminal big or small?
Where is the suspect now?
Did the suspect have a gun?
Do you know the suspect?
Did you hear any voices?
How did the suspect come to Mr. Sean’s house?
Did you see him or her when he came to Mr. Sean’s house?
Where is the suspect right now?
When did the crime happen?
Did you see any evidence that fell off the criminal?
What was the suspect wearing?
What are the tools that the criminal used?
When did the crime happen?
Why did the criminal hate Mr. Sean?
Is Mr. Sean a friend of the criminals?
